Rosa or Rose as she was
known was sent to the Cottage home,Littleboro,Rochdale 1906-7
Rose was put into
service age 12 to a Mrs Booth,98a,Milnrow rd,Shaw,confectioner.
After 4 yrs she was
returned to the Cottage home.1912.
Rose was then sent to
Blackpool in service to a Miss Hughes,25,Clifton St.
In the minutes from the
Guardians meeting 10th October 1912 at the Cottage Home,it states that Rose has
a aunt in Blackpool who would keep an eye on her.

This is incorrect as
the 1901 census shows him as aged 1yr and a half.

WW1 and was killed in action September 30th 1918

Manchester. She met ALBERT HUDSON, son of WILLIAM HUDSON and ELIZA GUNTON. He was born August 11, 1880 in
Bacup,Lancashire, and died February 11, 1940 in Manchester.

Albert joined the
Royal Navy 16th Februrary 1900,and signed on for 12 years.
Although family lore
say's he served in the Navy WW1,
his Navy record shows
that he was invalided out on 8th June 1900.
The record also shows
he served on H.M.S Pembroke.
I have a photograph of
Albert wearing a hat with H.M.S.Northumberland badge.
As Northunberland was
a tender for Pembroke,this may explain the hat.
Many records have been
searched but no other service records found for him.
