22/10/1924 3865 from Mr Lamond

The executer refused to give any information & the solicitor Frank Kerr is to part with no money. Give no information.

I have instructed my correspondence to obtain from their court a copy of what corresponds in Ireland to our Confirmation of executer’s inventory of estate and let me know.

I have instructed them to find out as much as possible & report.

I will probably if necessary to have a curator appointed when in office, he can see the executer for a account & pay for payment to Mrs Halfpenny’s share.

Before actually taking these steps I await further instructions from Enniskillen.

16/2/1925 from Mr Lamond

Our Irish correspondents advise that it is necessary to sue the executor of the late Miss McVeigh for a payment of the share falling to your ward Mrs Halfpenny, they request us to take immediate steps here to have a Curator appointed in order that he may sue.

We have been in hopes that they would now able to sue us in the name of the Parish Council without the delay, small expense involved in appointing a curator.

We assume you will wish Mr Hutchison to be appoinetd,if  you agree in the course recommended perhaps you will be good enough at once to obtain and send me the two necessary medical certs as to Mrs Halfpenny's Condition.

16/2/1925

Phoned Gartloch for medical certs at once and confirmed by letter. Reported case to Mr Ramsey who authorised to proceed with the appointment of Mr Hutchison as curator.
